Train Luggage: You will need a separate overnight bag for your time aboard VIA Rail's The Canadian, as you will not have access to your main luggage.
Activity Level: This tour is considered a Level 2, suitable for travelers who enjoy a balanced approach to travel. You should be able to walk 2 to 3 miles over the course of a day on varied terrain (including moderate hills and cobblestone streets) and climb two flights of stairs with ease.

On the Train: Please note that maneuvering on the train can be challenging. The corridors are narrow, and there are large steps to climb to board. Assistance from VIA Rail staff is limited, and wheelchairs or walkers cannot be used onboard. The sleeping cars are small, with bunk beds that require a ladder.
Sightseeing: The order of sightseeing is subject to change.
Transfers: Round-trip airport-to-hotel transfers are included when you purchase airfare with your tour. If you have arranged your own airfare, transfers are available for purchase but will leave at pre-scheduled times.
Glacier Experience: The Glacier Experience and the Maligne Lake Cruise are both weather-dependent.
Seating: Please be aware that many airlines do not provide advance seat assignments until check-in at the airport. Seating is subject to the airline's terms and conditions.
Accommodations: Single accommodations are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Triple accommodations may not be available due to limited room configurations on the VIA Rail train cars.
Train Schedule: The train schedule and sightseeing while on VIA Rail are subject to change.
